One of the things that is ignore, while it was good to take down the video because it made Black people feel bad, ignores another fact for taking the video on down. White supremacists love to see images of Black people dead, abused. I use images of Blacks being lynched. Lynching we're occasions for the whole racist family. No matter how brutal the murder was, men, women, And children crowded around. There was no look of horror or even empathy, it was as if this is how blacks should be treated.
Another case in point. A man who spent all of his paycheck on party and drugs, hung himself after he realize he would have to go home and explain this. The police who responded left the body hanging in the tree for hours. I tried to explain to the police that there were small children coming past the location to play, hoping they could call and stop or redirect them. They said they would take care of it. Instead, they let whole classes come and stand there for ten and fifteen minutes, get a good look before turning them back. White parents made special trips with toddlers to give them a good look at what a good Black man looks like. Only after the parade of children slowed to a stop did they move to cover the body.
There was no fear of causing trauma, it was presented as the way things should be.
